A native of Saginaw Michigan, Jim Perkins is an accomplished painter that specializes in portraits, still life, landscapes and 19th century masters. He has been commissioned for large scale reproductions by John Atkinson Grimshaw, John William Waterhouse, Lord Frederic Leighton, Sir Henry Landseers & Gustav Klimt, as well as original murals around the country.

Perkins opts to mix his own paints, preferring the inimitable and ethereal quality of flesh tones achieved through  the paint-mixing techniques of the Dutch Masters.
